I was President of the Manchester Medical Society Section of Anaesthesia from 2021 — 2022 and served on the Council of the Royal College of Anaesthetists from 2014 — 2018.

My healthcare interests are in safe anaesthesia, governance, process management and pragmatic critical care.

Open source developer

I have over twenty years of development experience in a broad range of languages and technologies and am an invited Fellow of the Faculty of Clinical Informatics.

Following early adoption and presenting at a UK launch event of the Meteor stack, I remain an active user of the ecosystem and code in a broad range of languages across front- and back-end.

Most of my open-source contributions are for the not-for-profit QRL Stiftung in the field of post-quantum security though I maintain a diverse portfolio IT projects, both clinical and non-clinical.
